Difference Between a Human Eye and a Camera

Human eyes and cameras have similarities. For example, they have similar sturctures.

1. Both eyes and cameras have similar openings for the entrance of light. Aperture for the cameras and pupil for the eyes.
2. Both have a control center for the entrance of light. Diaphragm controls size of the aperture [camera], iris muscles control the size of the pupil [eye].
3. Both have light refractors. A glass biconvex lens for the camera, mainly cornea and lens for the eye.
4. Both have an object that helps form the image. Photosensitive chemicals on the films for the camera, and photoreceptors in the retina for the eyes.
5. Both have structures that absorbs excessive light. Dark internal surface for the camera, pigmented, dark choroid for the eyes.
6. They differ in focusing mechanisms. For the camera, it changes the distance of the film from the lens while in the eyes it changes the focal length of the lens with the use of ciliary muscles.

Ray Diagram For A Concave Lens

1. Construct a ray that travels parallel to the axis and after going through the lens, extend it passing through the focal point on the side where the onject is found.
2. Construct a ray that passes directly to the center of the lens.
3. Construct a ray passing through the focal point and then travels paralles to the axis to the side where the object is found.

*Unlike converging lens case, the rays do not intersect. Instead we assume the image to be at an imaginary point which is derived by extending the rays and then taking the intersections of the extended rays.

Ray Diagram For Convex Lens

1. First, draw a ray parallel to the optic axis, then extend it to the focal point at the back of the lens.
2. Second, draw a chief ray that directly points in the center of the lens.
3. You can even check your work, by creating a lens passing through the focal point in the same side as that of the object. After it reaches the optic axis, you should extend it parallel to the optic axis of the other side.

Steps in Getting the Resultant Vector Using the Graphical Method

  1. Firstly , you should choose a right scale and coordinate system that you will use. As for the scale, choose the one that can easily be converted.
  2. Draw the first vector starting from the origin.
  3. Then, draw the second vector starting from the head of the first vector. Repeat this instuction if you are to draw several vectors. Be noted that you should always follow that head-to-tail way of drawing vectors.
  4. After drawing the needed vectors, draw another vector that will coonect the tail of the first vector to the head of the last vector drawn. The new vector is the resultant of the given vectors.
*In creating this stuff, you should always be accurate in measuring to attain precise results.*

†...Monday, July 16, 2007...†

1. By looking at a given figure, make a right triangle that encloses each vectors.
2. After that, apply the appropriate trigonometric functions.
3. Then solve for the value of your x and y components.
4. Afterwards, add all the x components of the vectors and all the y components of the vectors to get the resultant vectors.
5. Solve for the magnitude of the resultant vector by usaing the Pythagorean Theorem on the x and y components. The direction will then be given by the trigonometric function.

EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED
DO I REALLY HAVE TO EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED FROM MY PHYSICS SUBJECT?
IS IT THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND?
OR AM I JUST STUBBORN OR MAYBE A SLOW TYPE OF PERSON?
HMMM...
AS THE DAYS PASS BY, PHYSICS GETS A LOT HARDER THAN EVER.
ALL OF THE THINGS THAT WE ARE DISCUSSING NOWADAYS ARE THE THINGS THAT HAVEN'T EVEN OCCURED IN THE WORST OF MY NIGHTMARES.
A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE IS THE:

HHAAII.
AT FIRST LOOK SOME MAY THINK THAT THIS IS JUST EASY. BUT GUESS WHAT? I FiND IT REALLY VERY VERY VERY HARD.
NOT JUST THE THING ITSELF BUT THE OTHER THINGS THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THE FIELDS OF ITS CONCERN.
WELL GOODLUCK TO ME AND THE REST OF US.
I RECKON THAT IT WILL REALLY TAKE A HARD TIME FOR YOU TO MASTER ALL OF THOSE THINGS BUT JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
AND PAY YOUR FULLEST ATTENTIONS TO WHAT THE TEACHER IS TALKING ABOUT AND YOU WILL SURVIVE.
[I JUST HOPE ALL OF THOSE ENCOURAGEMENTS OF MINE APPLY TO MYSELF! HAHA!]
HAIII PHYSICS...
I DO WISH THAT WE BECAME BEST OF FRIENDS... EVER... HAHA. (^_~)

THIS IS MY FIRST POST. THIS IS ALL ABOUT SNAPSHOTS THAT I HAVE MADE IN OUR PHYSICS ROOM. I WANT TO SHOW THIS TO THE READERS OF MY BLOG FOR THEM TO IMAGINE WHAT OUR ROOM LOOKS LIKE SO THAT WHEN I SHARE MY STORIES OR THOUGHTS, THEY COULD PICTURE WHAT'S HAPPENING THROUGH THE HELP OF THIS ROOM PHOTOS. ENJOY!!! (^_^)

THE MIDDLE SIDE OF THE ROOM.

THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROOM.

THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROOM.

THERE'S THE MAGICAL WHITE BOARD.

THE ENTRANCE OF OUR ROOM.
IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED IF YOU WOULD DROP BY SOME MESSAGES OR COMMENTS IN THE CHATBOX. THANKS! (^_~)

hello. this is my first post for my blog in physical science. i've created it just now so i do have many things to do for it.
firstly, im gonna find a customized blogskin for my blog that suits me.
then, im gonna make some worthy posts next time embedded with the best of my efforts for it to look spectacular and worth-reading.
on my next post im gonna share to you my expectations and everything about physics.
until next post, byebye! (^_~)
